Dear Geography Teachers,

The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) would be bringing in an Assistant Professor, Scott M. Graves, from Southern Connecticut State University, to conduct a full day workshop (26 Mar 10) for both geography and science teachers on approaches in teaching earth sciences. Scott will guide teachers on how to use common misconceptions as starting points for uncovering the big ideas in earth sciences. Also, participants would be given the opportunity to take part in a lively exchange where they get to share ideas on successful teaching approaches for physical geography and science in Singapore schools. Lunch and tea would be provided to the teachers that attend this workshop. Your geography / science department in the school and you are invited to attend this workshop. Further information about this workshop, together with the registration process, is found in the document attached below.
